SkyPings began with a simple wish: to catch the planes passing over my own patch of sky before they slipped by. It grew into a tool that watches live air traffic and pings you only when an aircraft is genuinely visible from where you're standing, high enough overhead, close enough to see, with a little warning so you can look up in time.
